Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 23, 2026
Meridian ("we," "us") helps you explore what moves you and turn it into direction. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your choices. We built Meridian to be private by default: you can use it anonymously, and you only give us an email if you choose to save your progress across devices.
Information we collect
- What you write. Your conversation with Meridian, your map, your matched fields, and your journal entries (projects, steps, logs, goals).
- An anonymous device ID. A random identifier stored on your device so your progress can be saved. It is not tied to your real identity unless you add an email.
- Your email — only if you create an account. Used to sign you in with a one-time code and, if enabled, to send you optional project reminders.
- Your subscription status — only if you subscribe. Whether your plan is free or Meridian+, so the app knows what to unlock. We never receive or store your card number.
- A device notification token — only if you allow notifications in the mobile app. Used solely to send you the reminders you asked for.
- Your email — if you join the waitlist on our website. Used only to tell you about Meridian; you can ask us to remove it at any time.
- Anonymous usage analytics. How long a page was open and how far through Meridian you got, so we can tell where the product is confusing. See "Usage analytics" below.
- Basic technical data needed to run the service (e.g., request logs). We do not use third-party advertising trackers, and we do not use cookies for tracking.
How we use it
- To provide Meridian: generate your map and matches, and save your journal so you can return to it.
- To send account sign-in codes and, if you opt in, project reminder emails (you can unsubscribe anytime).
- We do not send marketing email to account holders unless you separately agree to it. Signing in gives us your address for sign-in codes and the project reminders described above, and nothing else.
- To maintain, secure, and improve the service.
AI processing
To generate your results, the text of your conversation is sent to our AI provider (currently NVIDIA's hosted models) to produce your map, matches, and deep dives. We send only what is needed to generate your results. We do not sell your conversations, and we do not use them to build advertising profiles.
Usage analytics
We measure how Meridian is used so we can see where people get stuck. This is built by us and stays on our own servers — there is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no third-party tracker of any kind.
For each visit we record:
- A random session ID created fresh for that browser tab. It is not linked to your identity, and it is not a cookie.
- Which stages you reached — for example whether you sent a first message, revealed your map, or started a journal. Never what you wrote, only that the step happened.
- How long the tab was visible. Time stops counting when you switch away.
- The website that linked you to us (the domain only, never the full address), and whether you are on mobile, tablet, or desktop.
We do not record your IP address, your browser's user-agent string, or the pages you visit elsewhere. These records are automatically deleted after 30 days.
Service providers we share with
We use a small number of vendors strictly to operate Meridian, and only share what each needs:
- Hosting (Vercel, and Render during our current migration) to run the app.
- Data storage (Upstash) to store your saved map and journal.
- Email delivery (Resend) to send sign-in codes and reminders.
- Payments (Stripe on the web; Apple or Google in the mobile apps, with RevenueCat managing subscription status). They receive your Meridian ID so a purchase can be matched to your account.
- AI processing (see above).
We do not sell your personal information.
Payments and subscriptions
Meridian has a free tier. Meridian+ is an optional paid subscription.
- We never see your card details. Card and billing information is handled entirely by Stripe (web) or by Apple and Google (in-app purchases). It never reaches our servers.
- What we store is your plan status (free or Meridian+) and the identifier needed to keep it in sync. Your payment provider tells our server when a subscription starts, renews, or ends.
- Manage or cancel a web subscription through the billing portal link in your receipt, and an app subscription in your Apple or Google account settings. Cancelling stops future charges and Meridian+ stays active until the period you paid for ends.
- Deleting your account removes your Meridian data. If you have an active subscription, cancel it with Apple, Google, or Stripe as well, since we cannot cancel billing on your behalf.
Your choices and rights
- Delete everything. If you have an account, open the account menu in the app and choose "delete account & data" — this permanently erases your account, map, and journal from our servers. Anonymous users can clear their data with "start over" and "change focus."
- Unsubscribe from reminder emails using the link in any reminder.
- Access or questions. Email us at hello@send.meridiancorps.me.
Data retention
We keep your saved data until you delete it (or your account). Sign-in codes expire within minutes; sessions expire after 90 days.
Children
Meridian is intended for people 13 and older. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you believe a child under 13 has used Meridian with an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Schools
For school pilots, students can use Meridian anonymously — no email or account required — so no student contact information is collected. Schools remain responsible for any consents required in their jurisdiction.
Where your data is processed
Meridian is operated from the United Kingdom, and the providers above process data on servers in the United States and elsewhere. Where the law requires it, these transfers rely on the standard contractual protections our providers offer.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (including the UK, the EU, and California), you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to certain processing. The delete option in the app does this immediately; for anything else, email us and we will action it.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored with reputable providers. No system is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your information.
Changes
We may update this policy as Meridian grows. Material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date above.
